1) Can I book a specific car model, or only a car category?
Bookings are generally confirmed for a car category (e.g., "Compact SUV" or "Saloon"). While we guarantee the category and its features, the exact make and model may vary. If you have a preference, let us know and we will try to accommodate it.
2) What does "insurance excess" or "deductible" actually mean?
The "excess" or "deductible" is the maximum amount you must pay towards repairs or replacement if the rental car is damaged or stolen, even with CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) or TP (Theft Protection). Options to reduce this amount may be available.
3) What happens if my flight is delayed for an airport pick-up?
If you provide your flight number at booking, we will monitor your arrival time. For reasonable delays, we will hold your vehicle. If you expect a significant delay, contact us as soon as possible for alternative arrangements.
4) Is there a mileage limit on my rental?
Most rentals include unlimited mileage within Kenya. However, certain offers, long-term rentals, or high-performance vehicles may have mileage limits, which will be clearly stated in your rental agreement.
5) What should I do if I receive a traffic fine or parking ticket with the rental car?
Renters are responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, and penalties during the rental period. If we receive a notice for a fine, we will pay it and charge you the amount, including an administrative fee.
6) How long will it take to get my security deposit back after the rental?
Once the vehicle is returned in good condition with no outstanding charges, we process the security deposit release. If pre-authorised on a credit card, it may take your bank 5-15 business days to reflect the release.
7) Do you offer one-way rentals (picking up in one city and dropping off in another)?
One-way rentals may be available between major locations (e.g., Nairobi to Mombasa). These rentals are subject to availability and may incur a drop-off fee. Please enquire when booking.
8) Can I rent accessories like child seats or a GPS navigation unit?
We offer accessories such as child seats and GPS units for an additional daily fee. Request these at the time of booking to ensure availability. Renters are responsible for proper child seat installation.
9) What if I need to return the car outside of your normal office hours?
Out-of-hours returns may be available but must be pre-arranged. Procedures and fees may apply. The renter remains responsible for the vehicle until it is checked in during business hours.
10) What payment methods are accepted?
We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) for security deposits and rental payments. For rental payments, we may also accept M-Pesa or direct bank transfers. Confirm your preferred payment method when booking.
